Nigerian artist and producer Ruger follows a broad run of Blownboy releases with R.U. (Raw & Unfiltered), Vol. 1 , his six-track project for 2026. The project sees Ruger re-up four out of the six singles and get support from MC Morena, Musa Keys, and Young Stunna to make up his other contributions.
It’s a project that feels curated rather than crowded by guest spots.
Most specifically, the most visible South African influence-Musa Keys and Young Stunna both hopped on “Do Nothing” while MC Morena appears with him on “Private Chef,” giving the wider reach to this project some more texture, having always leaned away from solely Nigerian features for a wider reach on the globe. These six-track LPs offer an EP structure, with “Vol. 1” leaving ample space for further concepts to be mined.
