The 2026 project R.U. (Raw & Unfiltered), Vol. 1, from Nigerian singer/songwriter Ruger features him entirely by himself, on a short collection of six songs.
Carrying the album alone with his vocal and writing alone the spotlight, Ruger takes on most of the project himself, with only two tracks featuring any collaboration.
The longest track off of R.U. (Raw & Unfiltered), Vol. 1 is 3 minutes & 38 seconds; that’s an extra amount of space beyond the other songs, which all fall shy of three minutes.
The project comes a year after BlownBoy RU, Ruger’s 2025 album, and while it’s a more minimalist six-song venture, both of them serve as follow-ups to his now post-Jonzing World material that is still under management as Blownboy Entertainment.
