E-Money, a socialite and businessperson from Lagos, has kept his promise to give comedian Carter Efe N50 million after Efe won against singer Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola.
The winner was announced after Carter Efe beat Portable by a unanimous decision at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event, held at Balmoral Hall in the Federal Palace Hotel on Victoria Island, Lagos.
E-Money confirmed the cash prize at the end of the event after being asked by Ezekiel Adamu, the CEO of Balmoral Group Promotions.
“You know we put our money where our mouth is, and so congratulations Carter on your win. N50 million for you,” he said.
Adamu praised the event, calling it a fun and successful show that met everyone’s expectations. “We promised exciting fights in the ring, and we’ve given you some really fun matches tonight. ” “There’s more to come. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a success and to the fighters for their great performances,” he said.
The big fight between Carter Efe and Portable was the main event of the night.
It happened after weeks of arguments and challenges between the two stars. Portable had said before the fight that he was sure he would win a third boxing title, having already won exhibitions against Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington.
In the match, Carter Efe took charge, using his height and long arms to easily beat the singer during three rounds. At the end of the match, all three judges gave a score of 27-30 for the comedian, making him the latest winner of celebrity boxing.
